Obama Campaign Fundraising To Clear $1 Billion Mark
President Obama is ending the week on a positive note after a lackluster performance at the Denver debate against his GOP challenger Mitt Romney.
It was revealed on Saturday that Mr. Obama has raised close to $1 billion ($947 million) in his re-election effort.
The Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee collected $181 million in the month of September.
Obama shared the good news on Twitter with his followers saying:
“Some amazing news this morning: 1,825,813 people came together to raise $181 million for this campaign in September.”
The strength of Obama’s fundraising could help boost his standing in the last leg of the 2012 presidential election that will take place on November 6.
